Timeless Summertime Treats: Fruit Pizza

Welcome to Sunday Suppers, where we take you on a delightful journey through timeless treats. This week, we’re excited to showcase a dish that embodies the perfect blend of fun, creativity, and deliciousness – Fruit Pizza! Gather the kids or perhaps engage a senior Client in this easy and enjoyable culinary adventure.

The beauty of Fruit Pizza lies in its simplicity. While the Caregiver takes on the heavy lifting of making the crust and mixing the frosting, the delightful task of arranging the vibrant fruit pieces on top can be a source of joy and accomplishment for your loved one. It’s a wonderful way to get involved and bond while creating something truly special together.

  • 1 Pkg Refrigerated Cookie Dough
  • 8oz Cream Cheese
  • ½ Sugar
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Kiwis
  • Peaches
  • Bananas

  1. Preheat your oven according to the cookie dough package instructions (typically 350°F/175°C).
  2. Slice the cookie dough into ¾ inch thick slices.
  3. Lay the cookie dough slices on a circular pizza pan, and press them together to form one large cookie without any gaps.
  4. Bake the cookie dough in the preheated oven until it’s cooked through and golden brown on the edges (around 15-20 minutes). Let it cool completely.
  5. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sugar until soft and spreadable to make the frosting.
  6. Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled giant cookie crust.
  7. Decorate the frosted cookie with a variety of fruits and berries.
  8. Optionally, drizzle some chocolate or caramel sauce over the fruits for added garnish.
  9. Chill the cookie pizza in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Slice like a pizza and serve by the slice.
