Britaney Brim

Senior Manager/Administrator

Britaney moved to Astoria in 2014 and fell in love with the culture and beauty of the Oregon Coast. Starting in high school, Britaney began serving the edlerly, and discovered her passion for working with an older, wiser generation. She now has a decade of caregiving and administration experience, with a specialty in patient-centered care. Her singular goal is to assist with improving the quality of life for every client she serves – this includes creating some of the most progressive, hands-on clinical training for caregiving staff. In her spare time, Britaney can be found exercising, cooking, and adventuring the outdoors with her husband and daughters.

Kai Coburn

Office Manager/HR Coordinator

Kai has more than 30 years experience in office settings. She has worn many hats and sat in many different chairs throughout her career. Her strengths lie in organization, creating policy and training. Kai’s experience caring for her own aging family member with dementia and Alzheimers led her to create a culture where other caregivers could be educated, trained, and equipped to handle similar situations – whether for family or professionally. Kai enjoys working with others to help them achieve the goals they have and to become the best employees they can be. She worked with and trained volunteers in the nationwide “Memories in the Making” art program, designed specifically for people with dementia. She also helped open and was Administrator for an assisted living memory care facility. In her spare time, Kai pursues her love of art by creating mosaics. She and new husband also enjoy traveling the coast and whale watching.

Becky Altomere

Scheduling Coordinator

Becky was born and raised in Illinois, and has a degree in teaching, which allows her to be patient and always willing to help others. She moved to Oregon from Florida where she attended college and lived for 12 years. She has an extensive background in customer service and scheduling – adept at matching the best caregivers by skill, experience, and personality with clients for the perfect fit. Becky enjoys exploring the Oregon coast with her husband and taking in all aspects of her new life in Astoria on the coast.

Debra Horvath

Administrative Support

Debra’s very first job many years ago was working in a care facility for the elderly and disabled as a Nurse’s Aid. With many years in the corporate world, she came out of retirement to offer her skills at CFTC. She is a loving mom of three adult children with her very first grandchild on the way. She loves the Pacific Northwest and had always dreamed of retiring here. Outside of work she spends time on her many art projects and caring for three bratty cats.

Sonya McIvor

Administrative Support

Sonya was born in PNW to a large family and had the opportunity to help take care of her great grandmother when she needed help the most. Sonya and her husband moved to Astoria in 2017 to raise their son. After working in customer-driven professions, she realized it was time to bring her care and compassion to an industry where it would thrive the most.

Jennifer Clegg

Tillamook County Administrative Support

Jennifer is a native Oregonian and was born and raised in Tillamook County. Jennifer was devoted to her grandparent’s care and volunteered in the assisted living facility they resided at. A 2005 Neah-Kah-Nie graduate, Jennifer studied at Multnomah University where she found herself drawn to the non-profit world and working with vulnerable populations. Her strong belief is that every individual should be treated with respect and kindness, and that every person has inherent worth and value in this world. While serving our central and north Tillamook County clients Jennifer’s biggest priority is to treat each client with the same dignity and care that she would a member of her own family. When Jennifer isn’t working she enjoys spending her time cooking, playing music with her husband, and chasing after her young daughter.

Sean Ake

Administrative Support

Sean has served as an advocate professionally in the home, hospital setting, and facilities for more than 16 years, five of them with Caring For Portland. His extensive training and CNA background bring a compassionate approach to his work while preserving the dignity and quality of care of those he serves. He is a military veteran who continues to put those before himself.
